It all began by applying to become one of Subaru’s “50 Cars for 50 Years” recipients. Uinta Senior Citizens, Inc. was one of the fortunate applicants to be selected to receive a brand new 2018 Subaru Outback, in fact, the only organization in Wyoming to do so.

Though there are three Subaru Dealerships in Wyoming, there were many along Utah’s Wasatch Front which were much closer. USCI discovered that Mark Miller Subaru in Murray, Utah, would be awarding ours.

On November 20, 2017, two bus loads of Seniors, staff and volunteers, one each from Evanston and the Bridger Valley, ventured down to Mark Miller Subaru and were treated to a wonderful reception and party, before turning around to head back home, with executive director, Amy Kelly, behind the wheel of the brand new Subaru Outback.

After spending around a week in Evanston, to be showcased in a Holiday Parade of Lights and a few additional public events, the Subaru Outback was driven to the Bridger Valley, to be utilized as a Meals On Wheels on Wheels delivery vehicle, for some of the extremely rural routes present in the Bridger Valley. As seen in the photo above, that is where the Subaru resides and is in service today — at the Bridger Valley branch of Uinta Senior Citizens Inc. — What a cool and valued addition for Uinta Senior Citizens!
